Following a mysterious countdown and some unfortunate leaks, Electronic Arts formally announced Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered today, bringing back the Criterion Games-developed 2010 title for modern platforms with graphics enhancements, cross-play, and more.

Autolog is also returning for players looking to beat their friends' high scores across all modes.

The PC version will support up to 4K resolution at 60FPS, while Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro players will be able to choose between 4K at 30FPS and 1080p at 60FPS modes. The base versions of these consoles will run the game at 1080p 30FPS. Meanwhile, on the Nintendo Switch, the remaster will perform at 1080p 30FPS when docked and 720p 30FPS when undocked.
This Hot Pursuit remaster's development is being handled by Stellar Entertainment, the same studio that was behind the Burnout Paradise remaster from 2018. Just like that release, not all platforms are getting the game on the same day.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is releasing across PC (Origin and Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 6, followed by a Nintendo Switch launch that happens on November 13. It is now available for pre-order.
